What Have You Been Saying Lately?
The little ways that we talk in casual conversation can subtly influence our perceptions of ourselves. At a school where stress is the standard, it is incredibly easy to feed into our existing insecurities.
What Have You Been Saying Lately? is a study on the impact of language on perception. The installation aims to empower fellow students by showing them little ways they can reframe the things they say. The maximalist design spans one 70-inch board and more than 30 interactive cards, drawing inspiration from how my own anxiety often manifests in my brain. By being more mindful of what we say, we can work towards becoming the versions of ourselves that we want to be.
