Emory Caring Chords is a recently established club at Emory University, centered around bringing the joy of music to cancer patients and retirees through students who want a more casual creative outlet. At the intersection of expression and service, the club emphasizes “sincerity, passion for music, and proactivity.”
I aided co-founders Enyu Liu and Candice Wong in creating a visual identity for the club, complete with a logo system, color palette, and style guidelines. Although I had creative freedom, I ensured that they had a voice in every decision I made.

The clients didn't have any particular ideas in mind for the logo, except that they wanted purples and blues to be in the color palette. In my sketching stage, I tried a lot of different styles to try and gauge what they liked.
Ultimately, we decided to move forward with a logo that combined a treble clef with an anatomically correct heart to represent both music and health.
